A little bit about me...

Before the Mom Life, I was a firefighter/paramedic. After dating my husband for a few years, we married at our favorite place ever... Charleston, SC. Shortly there after, we started our family. First we had our daughter, Emilia, then our son, Frankie. My husband is a firefighter/ EMT for our local department as well and we quickly found out that baby handoffs in the morning at shift change wasn't working. It was then that we decided that I should stay home with our kids. Leaving my job turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I noticed Frankie had characteristics that could be related to Autism. We started therapies and I worked with him as much as I could. Our first trip to Disney made me a nervous wreck. My daughter is a princess loving super fan and we were really excited to see the magic through her eyes. However, I was so incredibly worried about how to help Frankie be comfortable in an exciting, over-stimulating environment. Tons of research, planning and over packing later, we had the most amazing moment at EPCOT. It was raining and we were waiting in line to meet Minnie. At this point in life, Frankie did not interact with anyone but me; I was his person (and still am🥰). Minnie observed how I was talking to my son. She had a moment with my son that I will never forget. Frankie grabber her nose and kissed/bite it! I started sobbing. He had never reached out for anyone but me prior to this. He never really acknowledge anyone else in a room other than me, but in this moment, he was playing with Minnie and she was as sweet and as caring as could be. It was right then and there that I wanted every family of every kind to experience a core memory like this. The experience was truly magical and will be something I will carry with me for the rest of my days. When I help a family plan their trip, I am honored to know that I contributed to the memories they carry with them forever. 💖
